I am a follower of Jesus, a blessed wife of a godly, loving, hardworking man, a mom of five babies here and another five, precious, unborn babies in Heaven. I am learning, changing, growing, and realizing that it will take eternity to delve into the heart of the God who loves me. I felt called to write this blog to share His story in my life with anyone who will hear. It is a blog about His perfection in my shortcomings, His strength in my weakness, His work through my meager offerings. I pray that something somewhere in these words can bless and encourage others in their journeys. Someday I pray my children will read and understand my heart during these years of raising them, that they will forgive my weaknesses and know that above and beyond all else I loved our great God, their dad, and each one of them.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9

  1. Hi Courtney,
I was just looking around on FB & saw your cute picture on your mom’s page & clicked to see what you were writing about…
I also have four, though my oldest is in 2nd this year & I have all boys, and I really connected with your blog entry. Thanks for it’s “availability” to non-family. I always enjoy reading positive words about homeschooling and other mom’s adventures in teaching with the love of Jesus! I so admire your mom & always enjoy getting a chance to talk with her & bombard her with questions. She is such a wonderful role model. I would love to meet you & your kiddos some day. Blessings to you this school year!!
BTW:) I’m Ondrea Schenck, a choir teacher at TAFA, that has had the great pleasure of teaching both Carissa & Caitlyn!!

    • I’m so glad to “meet” you, Ondrea! We’re big fans of all of you TAFA teachers in the Scroggins family. 🙂 That has to be a big job teaching those classes as well as taking care of and homeschooling your own four. I know my mom loves encouraging all of you in this journey that is so dear to her heart! Many blessings on your year and your family!
